ZOMG so finally im done. I started this more than 2 months ago and now I'm finally done. :sleep: Digital work is so frustrating sometimes! :shakefist:
Okay, so for those who have heard of Wicked, the musical or the book by Gregory Maguire, this is Elphaba. This part is based on the book when Galinda gives her this stupid looking flowery hat and Elphaba turns out to look really nice in it so yeah. Inspiration is very mundane sometimes. :XD: but it was funny to google "stupid looking hat" and "melbourne cup hat" :lol: sorry, i know some do look good, but others... shan't mention any.

Ahhh i used soo much time on this!!!! I can't photoshop paint, it's so SLOW compared to colour pencils and i get a better result on the latter but i GUESS you can do stuff you couldnt normally do, like the good old control-Z. Gaaah i honestly think i have spent too much time on this!!!! >.< but whatever at least i'm done. the parchment background is just something i found while surfing the net, please dont sue me for stealing copyright or whatever, and thank you to whoever did it. Now enjoy, because i have finally done Wicked fanart (which totally kicks twilight fanart but hey :))

=D nice! i like the shading on the hair (you are damn good at that, how do you do it?) and the lace. her neck seems a little slim though, and i'm not sure about the shading on the skin, there isn't quite enough definition. the eyes are gorgeous though

VERY NICE WORK! Mad work for your first time going digital - especially the eyes. Did you know that's how experts do it? If you draw digitally more often, you will find that going digital will improve your work flow and takes shorter than drawing with natural media. Look forward to your next painting :)

:XD: wouldnt you know. it's a trick i picked up from ~falarae, use motion blur and gaussian blur LIKE HELL. i had a previous attempt that screwed up so badly =.= hm i thought her skin was dark enough but then i added the black hair and suddenly everything loses its shading :| well darn. thanks :D :hug:

ha thanks :D it's hardly my first time, just eh longest. lol are you kidding??? :XD: natural media has such a charm. imperfection IS perfection after all, such as the parthenon :heart: thanks for the tips!
