~ Because the candlelight was the hardest thing to paint! ~
Time Taken: 5 hours
Tools Used: Photoshop CS4, tablet
See the WIP on my Tumblr
Yeah, right before exams and I am clearly not prioritising: Blazed through my second Dragon Age 2 playthrough, rivalmancing Fenris along the way. And then turning to Photoshop to hold all my feelings Personally, I found the Fenris romance more satisfying than Anders' but neither really were on par with Origins'. Also, the friendship-rivalry scale still jars me (I mean, pissing someone off on purpose to get them to fall in love with you?) but Fenris had the best legs in the game. Every time he was moving I caught myself going "Walk, walk, fashion, baby"...
And here's where I complain about my own lack of skill: I have no idea what blending modes do, I just scroll through them till I find one that works. Which usually stops working when I add another layer on top of it. Hence the lighting is completely whacked. Perspective sort of worked but my crappy painting literally overshadowed it and no, I still can't get away from the lineart. Oh yeah, I need to learn about something called "textures" too... but on the bright side, finished in less than a day! And much quicker too, although I'm not sure if that's due to my improvement or just giving up faster
P.S. Nothing about Fenris reminds me of a wolf. He looks too much like a lanky crow. >.>

Hmm I haven't commented lately/been very active, but wanted to say this is possibly my favourite one of your works from the last several months. I think you did a great job with the lighting, the form and the contrast/mood.
